The 3 day Nova Systems Introduction to Explosive Ordnance and Guided Weapons Certification course aims to describe the application of the new ADF Explosive Ordnance Regulatory Framework, Certification policies, manuals and processes. 
 

Introduction:

The course will provide a detailed description of aspects of the EO and Guided Weapons certification process, touching on integration issues, with relevant considerations from a Tri-Service perspective. Additionally, students will be introduced to basic chemistry principles that provide a solid basis for understanding the characteristics and effects of explosives.

The course details the new EO regulatory framework (promulgated in DEOP 100) that is applied to ADF's explosive ordnance. This leads to an examination of the processes by which new ordnance can be brought safely into service and how the safety of explosive ordnance can be demonstrated in accordance with ADF safety requirements, primarily to ensure that safety risks are minimised So Far As Is Reasonably Practicable.
